COMPANY OVERVIEW

The Vereeniging Works is situated 70km south of Johannesburg Airport.
This facility was established in 1974 with the amalgamation of Vecor & Dorman Long.

The Vereeniging Works of Heavy Engineering Vereeniging is uniquely equipped for the fabrication and machining of medium to heavy engineering jobs.
The company's expertise and services range from engineering jobbing and refurbishing of capital equipment to multi-million turnkey projects. Our stated aim is to be a reliable business partner and the preferred supplier of quality services and products.

The facility comprises of 16 000 mē Machine Shop and 40 000 mē fabrication covered workshops, presently operating at 17 500 man hours per month.

Philosophy
Our Quality System is registered at the South African Bureau of Standards and is certified to comply to all aspects of ISO 9002. It is the foundation of our Management Philosophy and an integral part of our daily activity.

Information Technology
We have successfully implemented a full set of integrated manufacturing and financial modules from BAAN IV. This system is supplemented with an advanced production control clocking system which gives us on-line control of our labour efficiency and progress monitoring.
